The short version: if you are watching a show, we collect nothing about you at all. If you are putting one on, we hold your mobile number. We never record a show, and we sell nothing about anybody to anyone.
Watching a show: we don't know who you are
No account. No phone number. No card. No sign-in of any kind. You open a link and you watch. We do not ask who you are and we have no way of finding out, so there is nothing about you for us to lose, sell, or hand over.
Our hosting keeps ordinary web server records for a short period — the sort of thing every website has — and the video service can see that a connection exists so it knows where to send the picture. Neither is tied to a name, because we never asked for one.
If you choose to support LiveShowNet with a payment, or report a show, see below.
Putting on a show: what we hold
Your mobile number
Performers sign in with a phone number and a code we text. There are no passwords here — the number is how we know it is you, and how we reach you if something is wrong with your show.
What you typed
The name you want shown, the title, description, date and length of your show, and whether you asked for it to be listed publicly.
What you paid
How much, when, and for how many minutes. Card numbers go to Stripe and never touch our servers. We are told a payment succeeded and nothing more — not your card, not your bank, not your address.
What your audience pays you, we never see
LiveShowNet does not handle money between a performer and their viewers. If you make your own arrangement with your audience, none of it passes through us and we hold no record of it — no names, no amounts, no accounts.
Shows are not recorded
No video or audio is stored, by us or by anyone on our behalf. It passes through and it is gone. Nobody can watch a show later, including us. It also means that if something goes wrong during a show, there is nothing to review afterwards.
If you report a show
We keep what you wrote, which show it was about, and any contact details you chose to leave. You do not have to leave any. Reports are kept for two years, so that a pattern of complaints against the same performer can be recognised rather than each one looking like a first offence. Only we can read them.
Who else is involved
- Google Firebase — hosting, the database, and sending sign-in codes. The site runs on Google Cloud in the United States.
- Stripe — payments. Stripe has its own privacy policy and holds card details directly.
- LiveKit — carries the live video between performer and audience. Nothing is retained.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces on these pages.
Nobody else. We do not use advertising trackers, we have no analytics following you around, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
How long we keep things
Almost none of this is kept because a law says to. The duty runs the other way — personal information should not be held longer than it is needed — so these are the shortest periods that still leave the service working. Payment records are the one exception, and those are kept because tax rules require it.
- A performer's account and phone number: until you ask us to delete it.
- Audience phone numbers a performer adds so those people can walk in without a code: 24 hours after that show ends, then permanently deleted. Nobody can read that list through this site — not the audience, not other performers, not even the performer's own browser, which is shown it only by our server once we have checked they own the show.
- A show itself — its name, description, times, access code, asking price and the payment note the performer wrote: 90 days after it ends, then deleted along with anything still attached to it.
- Payment records: seven years, because they are financial records and tax rules require it.
- Video: never — see above.
- Reports: two years.
Where it is kept
Everything above is held in Google Cloud Firestore, in the United States. We keep no copy anywhere else, we run no analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share personal information. When something is deleted under the periods above it is deleted outright — there is no backup and no recovery window quietly holding on to it afterwards.
Your choices
Write to mahaexpocorp@gmail.com and ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Deletion removes your account, your phone number and your shows. It cannot remove payment records we are required to keep, and those hold only the amount and the date.
If you are in California, the rights above are the ones the CCPA gives you, and we will not treat you differently for using them. We do not sell personal information.
Children
LiveShowNet is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything about children. If you believe a child has used the site, tell us and we will delete it.
If something goes wrong
If personal information is exposed in a way that could harm you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires — not quietly.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes. If it changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site.
